About

Hello! I'm Emma Lavaune (pronounced luh-VON), I use any pronouns, and I'm an actor, aerialist, musician, director, & data analyst/ digital strategist based in Norwich, VT.

I believe that sharing art, joy, community, and knowledge are all acts of protest. All live performance art is rooted in these shared experiences, regardless of your part in the production (including audience). I believe the theater is not only our haven, but our front line: it welcomes diverse perspectives and invites conversations about our deepest values; it's where I want to be.

Keep celebrating art.

More About Emma Lavaune:

Emma, a recent alum of Dartmouth College, is what her university peers call "a jack of all trades, master of many." Her instructors at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) have named her "an asset to any company," and her instructors at Dartmouth knew her as someone willing to put in the work to create a welcoming and productive environment in any rehearsal/development space.

Emma's petite frame and uniquely nasal voice make her a great fit for younger characters; her dance training and knack for physical character work allow her to create easily differentiable and memorable characters; her attention to detail, ability to implement notes efficiently, and her challenge-seeking streak are all reasons she has been called into various theaters to cover tracks with short notice.

When she is not at the theater, Emma is a freelance data analyst for local theater companies across the United States, and a Software Administrator at FreshAir Sensor in Lebanon, NH.
